Moving to another country can be stressful and challenging. Therefore, i2 Education staff are eager to make your experience smooth and comfortable to ensure your experience in China starts in the right way!
When you arrive in China, we will meet you at the airport and provide you with a transfer to your hotel. You will receive 7 days of hotel lodging for free, allowing you enough time to find an apartment in your new city. Our dedicated team will help you search for accommodation, get a SIM card, and assist with any other necessary onboarding procedures. We’ll also arrange a one-week induction training for you to let you know better the structure of i2 Education, our culture, our product, and our teaching methods. During the induction training, you will have an opportunity to not only boost your teaching skills and prepare for classroom teaching but also meet new friends from different countries.
Even though your first month in China might be overwhelming, we believe, it won’t be difficult to adjust to your new life in China. , our recruiters, your campus co-workers, and your line managers will always be there for you in every way possible, making settling down in China stress-free. Besides, we have a community of over 600+ foreign teachers in China to help and support each other. We have our own social network for teachers to ask questions and look for assistance. Along with that, we organize social and cultural events for our teachers to help them meet other teachers and understand Chinese culture.

Teaching
Apply – 5 minutes
You can apply for a teaching position by clicking on Apply button or via our email. It only takes 5 minutes. You can email a copy of your CV/resume to [email protected] or submit it online here. It would be an advantage if you also send us your short introduction video. We receive a large number of applications, so you can expect to hear from us within 2 days.
Recruiter Interview – 40 minutes
We will invite you for a call with one of our recruiters to discuss your application, your reasons for wanting to teach English in China, and your past working and educational experience. Our recruiters will tell you more about the job, the benefits, and our company. If you have any questions or preferences regarding where you would like to teach, you can discuss them during the interview. Our recruiters are friendly, so just be yourself and enjoy the conversation. If you’re successful, we’ll let you know within 2 days.
School Interview – 1 hour
Your final interview will be a video call with one of our Foreign Academic Managers or campus principals. We will ask you questions about your teaching style and philosophy. If you’re new to teaching, don’t worry, you can talk about what you see yourself doing in class, and what kind of teacher you would like to be. If this goes well, we’ll present you with an offer within 3 days. Should you receive and accept our offer, your i2Education recruiter will introduce you to one of our dedicated Foreign Affairs specialists to begin the visa process.
Visa Processing – 14 to 28 days
Now it’s time to gather your documents for the visa application process. You will need your degree, criminal background check, medical check, passport, and TEFL certificate. Some of these documents will need to be authorized by the local government and authenticated by the Chinese embassy. It’s not a difficult process and we will guide you through it. Once we have copies of your documents we will apply for your work permit at the Chinese Bureau of Foreign Affairs, in China. After 14-28 days you should receive your work permit. Now you can go to the Chinese Embassy in your country and use your work permit to apply for your work visa. This takes about 3-5 days depending on your country. Once you have your visa, you can book tickets to China and begin your adventure!
Arrive In China
Congratulations! Day one of your journey has begun. We will meet you at the airport and drive you to your hotel where you will stay for 7 days for free.
Settle Down
Over the next few days, we will help you navigate your way through life in China. We will help you find accommodation, get a sim card, and apply for a residence permit. You’ll have the opportunity to view your new campus and meet your colleagues. Our Foreign Affairs specialists and teachers are always available and willing to help.
Training
You will spend the second week in training where we will teach you everything you need to know to be a superstar in the classroom. We also give you tips and advice on how to make the most out of your new life in China. We want you to have the best experience in and out of the classroom.
Teaching
We ease you into teaching. You’ll spend a few days observing classes to see how your campus colleagues conduct their classes. You’ll then move onto co-teaching, helping you build up confidence in the classroom. Once you are ready, you will get your own schedule and your own little faces to put smiles on. We provide continuous professional development and training so you’ll always stay ahead of teaching trends and standards.
